Are you a skilled and confident veterinary nurse looking for a new opportunity in a supportive and community-minded clinic? Timaru’s Family Vet is on the lookout for a top-tier Veterinary Nurse to join our close-knit team on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

A flexible role – work up to 4 days per week
Be part of the 1 in 4 afterhours roster, including our Saturday clinic (10am–12pm)

What We’re Looking For:
You’re an experienced and capable veterinary nurse who can hit the ground running. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering gold-standard patient care and exceptional client service.
Confident with surgical monitoring, diagnostics, and nurse consults
Excellent animal husbandry and handling skills
Efficient and organised, with great time management
Clear communicator with a professional and compassionate manner
Bonus if you’re familiar with EyVet – or keen to learn quickly!
